Randy Aldridge
Senior Pastor
Pastor Randy was born in Jacksonville, Fla. & received Christ as his savior in 1960 at Hackelbarny Baptist Church, a small country church in South Georgia. Married to Sherrilyn in 1979 & they have two children, Shane & Holly. Also, they are blessed with seven grandchildren.
Life Verse – 1 Thess. 5:24 “Faithful is he who calls you & who will also perform it.” This verse speaks to me about the sufficiency of God. Fulfilling his purpose in & through me is not dependent on my gifts & abilities. If I will only be obedient to him, he will accomplish all he desires for my life.”
Before coming to Hillcrest Baptist Church in August of 2019, Randy & Sherrilyn have been blessed to serve SBC of Virginia for 15 years to assist Churches as they plant new Churches to reach their region with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. During this time Randy also served a 2 year term as the Evangelism Director for the SBC of Virginia. They have served as Missionaries with the North American Mission Board as well as serving on the Evangelism task force, responsible for developing the GPS initiative. GPS (Gods Plan For Sharing) is a national initiative designed to assist Churches to reach their communities and beyond with the Gospel of Christ.

Deacon Ministry
Our Deacon Ministry consists of men who are active in all aspects of our church life, men of integrity who love the Lord, are compassionate and have a servant’s heart, as well as men of prayer. (For the scriptural qualifications, please read Acts 6:3 and 1 Timothy 3: 8-13.) Our membership is divided alphabetically and each deacon cares for a portion. Member care includes calls and visits as necessary. Our Deacon Ministry is an extension of our pastoral staff when needed. The Deacons meet monthly, typically on the second Sunday evening. Our Deacons serve a three year term, and in October we hold deacon nominations to elect four new deacons to serve.
